7th March

Southerly wind.

A hint of rain in the air.

Dappled light moving across the surface,

the current running strong.

The scent of winter meeting spring.

Peat-stained water moving quickly,

catching flashes of amber and gold.

Surface light unsettled by wind.

Broken reflections.

Beneath the surface,

form meets formlessness.

Sediment drifting in the current,

a faint scent of river silt.
